Overview
The winch is equipped with an 18 kW electric motor, mounted with a torque arm including a load pin. Due to this design, the load on the wire rope is always visual on the display of the remote control. The combination of the pressure roller and level winder ensures proper spooling of the cable.
Depending on the line pull, it is also possible to release the brake when the tension in the umbilical gets too high. Furthermore, there is an encoder mounted on the electric motor for speed and length measurement.

With the option to switch between the controls in the Survey room and a Belly box it is possible to control the winch from different positions, ensuring a safe and flexibel operation.
The screens provide the operator with feedback about the system, displaying the line speed, line pull and information about the cable position. All this information is also stored, giving a clear data log on the systems performance. The screen is also used to adjust various parameters, enabling a switch between different cable diameters.
